★ Capsa Notes is a different note taking app. ★

• It doesn't require you to subscribe to any service, but if you already have Dropbox, you will have your notes synchronized.

• It doesn't use any obscure format to store your notes, as they are in plain text so you can read them with any text editor.

• It uses (and loves) Markdown, so you can style your text easily. It has a great Markdown editor, indeed!

• Capsa allows you to create note templates, so you can write as little as possible when writing notes with similar structure and content.

• But what's really different in Capsa Notes, is that you can store the notes in subfolders and each subfolder is a note itself.

Then you can tag your notes, and also you can assign variables with values assigned to them. You can search your notes by their tags or variables later.

These subfolders, with are called "Capsas"

So Capsa Notes is as complex as you want:
You want a simple note taking app? Here it is.
You want a note taking app with tag and subfolders? Well, Capsa has you covered.
You want a simple non-relational database based on plain text files? Well, who would want something like that? In any case, this is it.

Capsa Notes is perfect for:
Organize ideas.
Make shopping lists.
Writing simple notes.
Storing articles.
... Whatever, I use it for writing short stories, keep a reference of the wines I've been tasting, among a lot of other things.

Keep in mind that Capsa Notes is currently in Beta, so bug reports, comments, suggestions, ideas, rants or compliments are welcome! Just drop an email.

Permissions explained

Good Notes! Notes with Tags, with kind-of-notes-groups, with Markup and Dropbox Sync and a nice interface. Nearly perfect. Just needs a little touchup with a good search function and a tittle less confusing notes-grouping functionality and it gets 5 Stars!!!

Need getting used to, but one of the best and most flexible note taking apps. The Dropbox integration means you can access your notes from everywhere.

Good note taker, lots of potential I have been looking for a note app that uses text files, and this is the best I have found. Simplenote and Fetchnotes are good options, but I want to control my own files. As it is now, Capsa is a good MD/text editor with hyerarcical and tag based organization, but it has potential to do much more.

Keep up the good work This app shows a ridiculous amount of promise

Bought it after trying out free version Very good job especially after last update. Thank you!

Interesting app. I have a couple feature requests: - could you provide a configuration option to allow the file extension to be .txt?  - could you make a sharing intent to create a child to an existing node as an alternative to appending to a node?

Best Markdown Editor, Very nice view, Nice organizing system. I hope this app is not abandoned yet by the developer. Dev, I purchased this app because I've been looking for app like this for a long time. You're still working on it right..? Because I've noticed that it's been a long time since the last update.

Nice app A bit quirky but has all the essentials: rich text, tagging, linking, search. Best of its kind
