Horrible! The oscon app is a clear example of how NOT to write a program. Favorites are useless, they are dropped several times a day, so there is no point in ever trying to use or reset them. The full screen ads every time you start the app are annoying, and when you scroll up in the schedule you see less because of the ad at the top. The descriptions on the web site are more detailed than the app, which should not be the case. There are many more, but these are the main irritations for me.

Favorites get cleared out on schedule update. Anytime a schedule is updated I have to redo my entire schedule. Sync does not work well so I can not use the website.

Horrible app Difficult to get to the right place. Default view should be favorites top make it easy to find your next session. Losing data is unforgivable, this app constantly loses your favorites, dozens of times throughout the day. Almost useless.

Crashes, time problems Great concept, but poor execution. I think this app crashed 80% of the time I switched between it and other applications. When it didn't crash, the display times for events would inexplicably change to timezones to UTC.

Good for schedule, bad for notes It's nice to have the full schedule, including the evening events, together in one place. And I thought that the notes section would come in handy. But after a few lines you're typing blind. Gave that up pretty quickly Gak! The times are now UTC! I'm not in London! Oh good. PDT is back. Thank you.

"Personal scheduling, including reminder settings" Though one of the app's bullet points on features, I'm not seeing this in the app. If I'm missing something easy, do holler ! I have seen personal schedules on other conference visit android apps, and it's pretty important. If I wanna review all sessions to plan my day, I still prefer a bit larger screen and usually do it in advance - having JUST my plans pop up on my littlebitty android screen is handy.

Apparently not open source Crashed on startup, won't install to sdcard. Way too big for Nexus One.

Much better option than in previous years.

Full featured and easy to use.

Very good. Overall this app is very good.

Perfect It's so cool

Awesome!! One of the best and most useful apps I've used. Being able to get schedule updates as they were releases and having a map of the event (with location awareness) constantly at my fingertips made this an essential tool for attending the conference. I hope this can become a template for others to follow.

Great app but.. Needs to show ending times, conflicts, and schedule holes.

OSCON made easy Keeping track of your schedule is fairly easy. The maps are helpful, too. I just wish there was a way to filter down to only my events.

Meh The bet thing that I could say about this app was that it worked.

Gets the job done Easy enough to use and looks pretty good. Not a huge fan of the blocking update check on open, especially given the crappy wifi in the convention center. Also the sync feature didn't seem to work well between multiple Android devices.

Crashes on startup On startup, always loads new database Ans promptly crashes. Not terribly useful ...

Helpful and handy but has some warts Does the job. Would like it better if it downloaded my personalized schedule from the OSCON web site, and applied it to the event stars. Does not handle landscape mode (e.g. tablet) very well; shifts between portrait and landscape unexpectedly. Hangs if network access is not available at startup (the network was frequently unavailable at OSCON).

Why ads O'Reilly already gets enough money from attendees

Gets the job done... Tells me when and where I need to be.
